CRESTON, Iowa—Olivia Frederick, defensive specialist/libero from Dayton, Oregon, has made the decision to head to Iowa and start her collegiate career as a student-athlete for the Spartan volleyball program at Southwestern Community College. Frederick signed a National Letter of Intent with the Spartans on March 3, 2019.

Frederick, who will graduate from Dayton High School in June 2019, led her Dayton team in digs. During high school, she received a fine arts award and was named to the honor roll.

Quiggle is excited about what Frederick will bring to his team.

"Olivia brings a calm energy and solid defense to the court," Quiggle said. "She'll be a nice addition to this year's team."

She is the daughter of Rebecca and Hans Frederick of Dayton, Oregon.
