Local volleyball standout headed to Southwestern

Creston High School volleyball standout Emma Hanson made it official this week, she will become a Southwestern Spartan in August 2020.

Hanson, who will graduate from high school in May, has been a multi-sport athlete in high school. She is a three-year varsity letter winner in volleyball, received the Teammate Award in volleyball, placed second in the state with her team in golf, and received letters in softball and track. In addition to athletics, Hanson received the Hawkeye Ten All-Academic Award and is a member of the National Honor Society.

She is the daughter of Rick and Tara Hanson of Creston.
