Baseball Showcase at University of Central Missouri

In a recent baseball scrimmage at the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, the Spartans faced off against Fort Scott Community College. Coach Chris Piperno's team had an opportunity to test their process.

Key performers for the Spartans included Chris Lugo, who managed to tally four hits throughout the day, and Jaxon Brooks, who made his presence felt with a home run, a double, and five RBIs. Maximiliana, Resch, and Eldred each contributed with two hits of their own. On the pitching front, Amador threw one inning with three strikeouts, while Barber delivered a clean inning.

Coach Piperno commented on the performance, stating, "Always great to have an opportunity to test our process. Sophomores are settling in & freshmen looked like young freshmen. Continue to get better each week."

While the Spartans had their moments, it was a scrimmage, and the focus remains on improvement as the fall season progresses. The team will look to fine-tune their skills and strategies as they continue to prepare for the remainder of the fall season.
