Nodaway Valley High School golfer Wes Davis has committed to Southwestern Community College's golf program for the 2016-17 season.

Davis is a four-year golf letter winner for the Nodaway Valley Wolverines. He graduates from Nodaway Valley in May 2016. He has been on the honor roll throughout high school.

Doug North, head coach for Southwestern's golf program, said he is looking forward to adding Davis' skill to the Spartan golf team.

"Wes has experience on some of Iowa's toughest courses," North said. "I'm excited to see how far he can challenge himself to really push his game to the next level. He's going to be a great addition to our team."

He is the son of David and Tisha Davis of Fontanelle.
