Dallas Center-Grimes golfer Sarah Rauschenberg has signed a National Letter of Intent to golf for the Spartans at Southwestern Community College in Creston starting with the fall 2018 semester.

Rauschenberg, who will graduate from Dallas Center-Grimes High School in May, has been a varsity letter-winner in golf all four years of high school. She received a coaches' award as a freshman and was also the recipient of a sportsmanship award.

Southwestern Head Golf Coach Doug North said he and Spartan Assistant Coach Ryan Palser are excited to add Rauschenberg to a stellar recruiting class and look forward to having her entire family as a part of Spartan Nation.

"Sarah has demonstrated leadership abilities by being her team's high school captain and this leadership role will continue as a Spartan," North stated. "Picking a club up for the first time as a freshman, Sarah is not your typical lifetime golfer, and yet her improvement from year-to-year in high school has shown immense dedication and maturity."

Rauschenberg is the daughter of David and Teri Rauschenberg of Dallas Center.
