The Hawkeye 10's Colton Book, a 2018 graduate of Glenwood High School, is headed to Southwestern Community College in the fall to compete on the Spartan golf team.

Spartan Head Golf Coach Doug North said Book, who finished as the fifth best boys' golfer in the Hawkeye 10 Conference, is a huge addition to the team.

"Colton finished his senior year with a scoring average in the top-30 in the state, and the top-20 in Class 3A," said North. "He plays his best golf in big tournaments, with a 75.80 scoring average in 18-hole tournaments."

North said Book has the potential to impress many at the collegiate level.

"Through our program, Colton will build on a great foundation and continue his development as a golfer," stated North. "I can't wait to see all he accomplishes for our team."
