Jordan Johnson (pictured above) led a balanced attack with 21 points to lead Southwestern to a 120-58 victory in their home and season opener over Graceland University JV.  Keshawn Wilson added 12, Lavon Hightower 11, while Brodric Thomas and Malachi Canada each had 10.

"We had great balance which I think will be strength of ours," said Spartan Coach Todd Lorensen.  "Jordan was even better on the defensive end then he was on offense."

A late first half flurry which included a break way dunk by Thomas followed by a Thomas blocked shot and Canada slam gave Southwestern a 61-21 heading into the break.

Southwestern is 1-0 on the season and will head on the road to play NJCAA Division I opponent Southeastern Community College on Friday, Nov. 4, at 7 p.m.

"It will be a great early season match up for us," added Lorensen.  "They have a great tradition and program there, so this game will give us an early indicator on where we are."
