KeShawn Wilson scored all 15 of his points on five three's as Southwestern took a 60-25 halftime lead en route to a 93-57 victory vs Ellsworth on Saturday, Jan. 21. Brodric Thomas scored 15 points while Jamil Maddred and Malachi Canada each added 10 points. Coming off of a 122-59 win over Pure Prep the previous Wednesday, when the Spartans hit 20 three-pointers as a team, the hot hand continued as the team totaled 17 makes from downtown.
"We have a lot of guys who make shots," explained Spartan Head Coach Todd Lorensen. "They got good looks against the zone and knocked them down consistently."
The win moves the #1 NJCAA DII ranked Spartans to a 19-0 record overall and 2-0 in the ICCAC, securing sole possession of first place in the conference. DMACC dropped its first ICCAC game to fall to 2-1. Southwestern hosts DMACC on Wednesday, Jan. 25, at 7:30 p.m.
