The third-ranked Spartans had 12 players score and only two in double figures en route to an 81-61 ICCAC win over Ellsworth Community College on Saturday, Feb. 18.  The win moved their season record to 25-1 overall and 7-1 in ICCAC play.  With their 25th win, the Spartans tied the single-season win record with last year's team (25-6) and the 1996-97 team, coached by Bill Taylor, who also went 25-6.

KeShawn Wilson paced the offense with 15 points while Lavon Hightower added 11 points and eight rebounds.  Jordan Johnson and Calvin Chambers both had a team-high four assists. 

"Our balance was great.  It was good to see multiple guys make plays throughout the game," said Spartan Coach Todd Lorensen.

Southwestern hits the road for an ICCAC match-up with DMACC on Wednesday, Feb. 22, at 7:30 p.m. and returns to Creston for sophomore day on Saturday, Feb. 25, against Iowa Lakes.
