Southwestern's Duke Carey was huge in the Spartans 57-50 upset of No. 11 Kirkwood last week. Carey ignited for a career-high 30 points going 11 for 19 from the floor and 6 of 11 from three-point range. He added three assists as well. On the week, Carey averaged 21.5 points in two games and made nine three pointers. He is third in ICCAC Division II in three-pointers made this season with 27 and fifth in percentage from deep at 39.7%. This year, Carey posts 12.6points per game, leading the Spartans in that category.
