Southwestern Men's Golf Compete for First Time

The Southwestern Spartan men's golf team hit the links for the first time of the 2020-21 academic year. With just a shell-of-a-team due to international travel restrictions, the Spartans are focused on gaining experience and continual improvement. "Every year has its challenges," says head coach Doug North. "But this year brought some big ones. We have about half of our team here, the other half couldn't travel due to country-by-county restrictions. A lot of young guys are going to get some tournament experience this fall, and that is never a bad thing."

The Spartans were led by freshman, Zayne Osborn. Osborn finished in a solo sixth-place finish, shooting a +7, 79. "Zayne played well, it was fun to watch. He started hot, making birdie on his first hole."

Rounding out the scores for Southwestern was freshman, Ethan Brumbaugh with a 12th-place finish shooting 83, sophomore Harrison Galea finishing T15 shooting an 85, and Hayden Green finising T24 shooting a 105.
