Lilly Thompson signs her National Letter of Intent to join the Southwestern softball team.

Southwestern Community College Head Softball Coach Casey-May Huff announced Lilly Thompson, an infielder from Council Bluffs, has signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the Southwestern Spartans next year.

Thompson graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in May 2021, where she was awarded Academic All-Conference, Teammate Award, 2020 All-City Team, and First-Team All-Conference honors. Thompson was also part of the Gold Honor Roll, National Honor Society, and Annual Youth Salute (2020).

"We are excited to add Lilly to our 2021 class and know she will be a great addition," said Nick Weinmeister, former head softball coach and current athletic director. "Lilly will come in focusing mainly on the infield. We are excited to see what her future holds."

Thompson is the daughter of Dan and Michelle Thompson of Council Bluffs.
