Creston, IA—Finley Spencer, an outfielder from Moravia High School, signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the Spartans of Southwestern Community College during their 2024-25 run.

Spencer, the daughter of Chris and Amy Spencer of Moravia, will graduate from Moravia Community School in May 2024. She has had a successful high school career in the outfield and Southwestern Head Softball Coach Danny Jensen can't wait to see her playing on the Spartans' field.

"Finley is an outstanding defensive outfielder with good range in centerfield," said Jensen. "In addition, she is a contact hitter and will provide speed on the bases."

Spencer has been involved in athletics throughout high school, playing on the SIGSA travel team, lettering four years, and being named to the Davis County All-Star Team for softball; lettering and receiving honorable mention all-conference for volleyball; lettering in track; lettering as the basketball manager; and being named captain of the dance and color guard teams.

Academically, she is the treasurer for National Honor Society, and she has been named all-conference academic for basketball (manager), color guard, volleyball, and softball for four years and track for two years.
