Southwestern's sports shooting team hosted a home shoot at the High Lakes Outdoor Alliance Shooting Range in Afton on Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017. The weather was windy and rainy, making for tough shooting conditions.

Spartan Head Coach Marc Roberg likes what he sees in the Spartans' weekly progress this fall.

"We are improving every meet," stated Roberg. "We ended at seventh in our first meet, fifth in the second, and now finished third. We are headed in the right direction."

The next outing for the Spartans will be Saturday, Oct. 21, in Cedar Rapids, hosted by Kirkwood.
