Southwestern Golf Coach Doug North announced his first commitment for the class of 2020 in Osceola native and Clarke Community High School multi-sport athlete, Caitlin Clark. The history is there as Coach North notes, "I know the Clark family well. Caitlin's grandparents ran the junior golf program when I was a member of the team, and her older sister competed for me recently."

Clark will be graduating in May and has maintained a 3.75 GPA or higher every semester throughout her high school career. "Caitlin will work hard at being a student-athlete, every day, and in all aspects," commented North.

Clark has received all-conference awards on the golf course and still has the opportunity to complete her senior season. She also received post-season accolades on the volleyball court as well.

"Caitlin is very athletic" notes North, "it will be fun to watch her game grow through her time here with more dedication taking place and not having to worry about other sports. Oftentimes as a coach, you wonder the impact you are having on young men and women and how they really feel about you personally. When the younger sibling of a former player wants to play for you, that means a lot. I'm excited to get Caitlin on campus and see her academic path towards the medical field take place."
