Honoring Excellence in Academics!
Spartan fans, last night we had the honor to celebrate our exceptional student-athletes who have truly excelled in the classroom! We are thrilled to announce that Southwestern's dedication to academic and athletic excellence has resulted in 35 student-athletes earning the prestigious NJCAA All-Academic Team Honors last year. Last night, we proudly presented our Sophomore outstanding achievers with well-deserved certificates as they continue to shine.
Six of our Southwestern Athletic teams have soared beyond expectations, achieving an impressive team GPA of over 3.0, a remarkable accomplishment recognized by the NJCAA. Our Baseball, Men's Basketball, Men's Golf, Softball, Volleyball, and Women's Track teams have proven that dedication and hard work extend beyond the field.
These remarkable student-athletes have exemplified unwavering commitment to academic excellence, navigating the challenges of rigorous study sessions, demanding practices, intense games, and the responsibilities of college life.
Let's join hands as we applaud and congratulate these exceptional young men and women, who have maintained the perfect balance between athletics and academics. Special thanks to our Interim President, Lindsay Stoaks, for honoring them last night as they received their well-earned NJCAA All-Academic team certificates.
