Southwestern freshman Frank Sanchez was named the ICCAC Division I Baseball Athlete of the Week as the league's top position player for the week of March 25-31, 2019.

Sanchez, from Moca, Puerto Rico, torched opposing pitching over the course of the week. The freshman shortstop hit for a .411 average during the week, including one triple and three home runs, while driving in eight runs. He also scored six runs.

For the season, Sanchez is hitting .367 with four home runs and 16 RBIs, leading the Spartans in each category.
