The Spartans showcased their resilience, splitting the games with a loss in the opener and a thrilling victory in the second matchup.

In the first game, the Spartans faced a tough challenge, falling short against the Ellsworth Panthers with a final score of 5-8. Despite a valiant effort, Southwestern couldn't overcome the early lead established by Ellsworth. Brysen Vernon's powerful bat contributed significantly, including a notable home run, but it wasn't enough to secure the win.
