As March comes to a close, the Southwestern Spartans baseball team finds itself in the midst of a challenging Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) race. With a 3-7 conference record and a 7-21 overall mark, the Spartans sit tied for 7th place in the league standings, competing against some of the top-ranked teams in the NJCAA.

The ICCAC remains one of the most competitive leagues in junior college baseball, with #5 Southeastern (8-0, 23-6) and #12 Kirkwood (8-1, 23-9) leading the charge. Iowa Central (#19, 6-2, 22-6) and Iowa Western (7-2, 19-12) also find themselves in the upper tier of the standings, making every conference matchup a battle for positioning.
