Southwestern Community College Men's Basketball Coach Blake Peterson recently announced Des Moines North's Jaihon McCaleb has signed an NJCAA National Letter of Intent to play for the Spartans during their 2018-19 run.

McCaleb, a 6 foot, 3 inch-forward, graduated from Des Moines North High School in May 2018.

Peterson said the Southwestern men's basketball program is very excited to add Jaihon to the Spartan family.

"Jaihon is a long athletic player who can really shoot the ball," Peterson said. "He has a high basketball IQ and is someone who takes care of business in the classroom as well."

McCaleb has played at Des Moines North under Head Coach Chad Ryan.

He is the son of Wayne and Brandi McCaleb of Des Moines and has two siblings, Janiecia and Jakodi.
