The Spartan volleyball team kicked off their season in the Ramada Kickoff Tournament host by Central Community College in Columbus, NE. While head coach Shaela Camp continues to figure out the best lineup, the Spartans saw success, "This was our first game of the season, and we improved each set.  We were still figuring out our lineup and making some small adjustments."

Southwestern was led by Samira Baade and Shalaya Armstead with a hitting percentage of .286 and 14 assists respectively.

"I'm looking forward to the second day of the tournament because we made good strides today."
