Southwestern lands 100+ on the Academic All-Region Team

The Iowa Community College Athletic Conference announced the Academic All-Region performers for the Fall of 2022. First Team performers received a 3.5 grade point average or above, while Second Team members earned between a 3.0 and a 3.49 GPA. A student's highest GPA was recognized, either their cumulative GPA or their fall semester only GPA. Nearly 1,300 student-athletes reached First-Team recognition and just under 800 earned Second Team status.

Women's Outdoor Track & Field leads nine Spartan teams garnering recognition.

Each year, the NJCAA recognizes student-athletes for their dedication in the classroom on the NJCAA All-Academic Teams.

Brooklyn Housley, senior at Wayne Community High School, has inked to golf for the Spartans in 2020-21 year.

DAYTONA BEACH, Florida - Southwestern sophomore Bianca Findlay finished out her Spartan career by finishing in a tie for 45th place at the NJCAA Women's Golf National Championship at the LPGA International Hills Course in Daytona Beach, Florida, May 13-16.

Southwestern's Bianca Findlay was named the 2019 ICCAC Women's Golf Player of the Year after finishing first at last week's Region XI Championship with a score of 275.

ANKENY - Southwestern sophomore Bianca Findlay punched her ticket to the 2019 NJCAA Women's Golf National Championships by winning the Region XI Championships at Otter Creek Golf Course in Ankeny. Findlay also qualified for nationals as a freshman.

FORT DODGE - Consistency was the key for Southwestern sophomore Bianca Findlay, who claimed her second tournament victory in as many weeks Sunday and Monday at the Iowa Central Spring Invite.

INDIANOLA - Southwestern sophomore Bianca Findlay took medalist honors Wednesday, April 10, at the Simpson College Spring Invite at Indianola Country Club.

CEDAR FALLS - Southwestern's golf teams competed well against NCAA Division I opponents Saturday and Sunday at the UNI Invitational at Pheasant Ridge Golf Course.

As balloons flew over campus, the Spartan women headed south to compete in the Graceland Women's Fall Invitational.
